I’m a Multidisiplinary Artist, I strive to bridge the gap between the ordinary and the extraordinary, inviting viewers to see the world through a different lens.

Facts:

  • Alexandra was born and raised in Glen Cove, NY, where she developed a passion for art at an early age. She was influenced by the many art classes she took, her teachers, her parents, and the world around her. All she’s wanted to do since childhood was to create and make things. She also danced for 15 years as an extension of her love for the arts. Alexandra has always been drawn to creative outlets of expression and emotion.

After high school, Alexandra first pursued her academic studies at West Virginia University, working toward a bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene. She later transferred to SUNY Oswego, where she earned her BFA degree in Graphic Design with a double minor in Photography and Illustration. During her time at Oswego, Alexandra has been refining her skills and is deepening her artistic vision.

The combination of her upbringing and academic training has shaped her artistic journey and continues to influence her work today. Her long-term future goal is to have her own art studio, where she plans to create an abundance of work across all different mediums. She also hopes to create extravagant, interactive, and immersive exhibitions. Until then, Alexandra’s current goals are to work under companies that will push her to continue developing her skills within the field, and to work as a freelance photographer or with a photography agency.

  • Hi, I’m Alexandra!

For a long time, I’ve worked across multiple mediums to create art. My interest in art has been apparent ever since I was a young child and has walked hand in hand with me through life. Art is a universal expression of emotion that always elicits a response from its viewers. Whether or not the true meaning of why the art was created is fully understood by the audience, it evokes some expression, comment, feeling, or emotion.

Throughout my creative work, I strive to bridge the gap between the ordinary and the extraordinary, inviting viewers to see the world through a different lens. As a multimedia artist driven by a curiosity for the unseen narratives found in everyday life, I explore how I can create art and how my art can transform familiar materials and ideas into new stories that resonate with other individuals on a personal level. Whether that’s cyanotyping an image onto marble or turning a literal tree into a book, pushing the boundaries of an idea or concept is my favorite thing to do. At the moment, I would describe my work as a mix of surrealism, realism, and abstract subject matter. I tend to create my pieces based on their concept and vision, while always trying to experiment and apply new ideas and mediums to enhance the final outcome of a piece. Although I believe we can always see a bit of the artist in a piece of work, I don’t believe I have a set style. Instead, I create art based on my multiple interests. A jack of all trades if you will.
