The Creative Center - Calibration Manual
The original purpose of this project was to satisfy an assignment for SUNY Oswego’s Type and Image class. The goal was to create a made-up brand and to successfully create a digital “Brand Guide Manual Booklet” to outline all the dos and don’ts of every aspect of designing a brand, from logo usage to personality, values, typography, online presence, color scheme, mock-ups, and so much more. The purpose of this project was to expand our skill sets in developing brand aesthetics as well as critical thinking, and the functionality of a design.
Later on, I decied to continue the production of this project in order to display it properly in my BFA Art Exhibition. In the extention of this project, I combined my skills learned from courses at SUNY Oswego in graphic design and book arts. First, I started off by proof reading my work, adjusting my layouts and printing them from Adobe InDesign. Using 12” x 18” in paper, I folded each spread down the middle, then began binnding the spine. Once that was complete and had fully dried, I glued together the pages and trimmed the edges to make them even. After that I glued together the cover and attached everything together.
